Federica Brignone doesn’t hold back on Sofia Goggia and Jannik Sinner

Federica Brignone, spearhead of the Italian ski team at the Alpine Ski World Championships kicking off in Austria, in an interview with Corriere della Sera also spoke about her rival Sofia Goggia, whom she has lately è managed to beat in downhill: "Now I have very little fear in speed, even in difficult conditions: I feel lucid, in control, I have refined my technique to have a confident skiing and I push even in complicated situations".

The Valdostana gave credit to Sofia herself for her growth: "She taught me to look at what I can do better exclusively for me, to evaluate the choices better. And that with decision and attitude you can’t really achieve a lot. She pushed me to put a little more’ character when things are complicated".

Federica Brignone then justified Jannik Sinner’s no to Sergio Mattarella: "I always went, at the end of the season when there were no races. You also have to understand the lives of athletes: traveling è heavy and it è also fitting everything in with training".

"I know what it’s like to travel around the world, changing hotels every other day, getting used to time zones. Hours of driving to get to training sites, just now I did seven. In the end, traveling less affects fatigue and therefore performance. At this level, it all counts".
