Stefano Nepa aims high right away

Stefano Nepa ready to give everything for Sic58 Squadra Corse
By his own admission he sought the jump in category after seven seasons in Moto3, but the call of Paolo Simoncelli made him change his mind: Stefano Nepa, on the sidelines of the presentation of Sic58 Squadra Corse in Misano Adriatico, speaks clearly during the interview that the centaur class of 2001 gave to Sportal.it.
The biggest change è that of bike: after the years in KTM, Nepa moves to the Honda made available to him by the association founded by Paolo Simoncelli: "New bike and new team – explains the Abruzzese -, I really want to start this season: it is now very close, I really can't wait".
"When I got a call from Paolo è it was a great emotion – added the same Nepa -. During the period dedicated to the rider market I looked until the last for Moto2, but when there were the first contacts with Paolo showed that he really wanted me in the team. For me è an honor to be part of his team and I can not wait to get on track".
Among the role models the 23-year-old is inspired by is a rider who, like him, comes from Abruzzo, Andrea Iannone: "We Abruzzese also stand up for ourselves,” Nepa joked.
It is true that here in Romagna we are in the land of engines, but Abruzzo also has its champions: Iannone had great success in MotoGp, now è in Superbike and is doing great things. I hope to reach his levels in a few years, in MotoGp".
Before thinking about the future, there'è to face the present, with clear goals: "The podium must arrive as soon as possible – confirmed Stefano Nepa -, I hope alreadyà right away, at the first race in Thailand".
