Speaking at the microphones of "Il Giornale di Sicilia", L'former national team coach Meo Sacchetti, among the various topics discussed, dwelt on the extraordinary championship that the Trapani Shark is doing, which è in second place in its first year in the top Italian basketball league. More specifically, the former Cantù's head coach è unbalanced himself regarding the ambitions of the Sicilian team in view of the post-season.
"Trento, so far, has had a very good championship winning ten games in a row, although losing something in the Cup. Sunday's game against Trapani è was nail-biting. The first game, on the other hand, I think it was the best of the year. Trapani has a very good roster and can count on a great coach like Jasmin Repesa. I am convinced that they will be able to have their say until the end" began the former head coach of VL Pesaro.
"The landing in Serie A has produced a revolutionary effect. A strong impact with a very competitive and long team. It's going to be a dangerous team for anyone to face in the playoffs" continued the former Cantù coach.
"The Italian Cup I think is a good event, where the teams that have proven to do something important clash. History teaches that in a dry match anything can happen. There have been many surprises over time, the last one è Napoli last year. It won't be easy for anyone to get the better of them, as in this competition there are no favorites to win" added the former coach of the Italian national team.
"The hat trick with Sassari è proving that to win there's need for good players at the right time and a pinch of luck. Games are won thanks to the roster's contribution and coaches must be good at fielding the right quintet depending on the situation" concluded Meo Sacchetti.
