World Ski Championships: Ester Ledecka the fastest in the last day of trials, Federica Brignone fourth
The last round of downhill lbera at the Alpine Ski World Championships closes in the sign of Ester Ledecka. The Czech skier, in fact, set the best time of 1:42.44, ahead of Austria's Miriam Puchner and Germany's Emma Aicher. At the foot of the podium was Federica Brignone, who after her success in SuperG, confirmed her competitiveness in the downhill as well, accumulating a gap of only 46 hundredths from the top and seeing third place slip away by three hundredths.
It è ended with a scare, however, the test of Sofia Goggia, who è was the protagonist of a fall fortunately without consequences during the last jump. The skier from Bergamo, however, recorded excellent split times that would have allowed her to hit the top 5.
Finishing close to the top 10 was Nicol Delago, who finished in 13th position with a gap of 1'70. Distant, finally, Laura Pirovano and Elena Curtoni, who finish respectively in 18th and 25th position with more than two seconds of delay.
