Jannik Sinner's tribute
In Buenos Aires, former world No. 8 Diego Schwartzman played his last match at age 32, losing in two in the second round of the tournament of which he was host to Martinez.
Among the many who paid tribute to him was Jannik Sinner, who posted on social media a photo on the court with Schwartzman himself accompanied by the caption: "What a career, what a person. I wish you the best in your new chapter", then sharing the video of the last ovation of the Buenos Aires audience.
Jannik Sinner and Diego Schwartzman also faced each other in a tournament final: it was 2021 and on the concrete of Antwerp Jannik won for a change with a comfortable 6-2 6-2.
