Juventus shingle: injury for Renato Veiga

Not good things are coming in the Juventus household. Renato Veiga, who was forced to leave the field against PSV Eindhoven after just twelve minutes of play due to a calf problem, has è undergone instrumental examinations that showed an injury to the tendon of the plantar gracile of the right leg.

This was announced by the same Juventus club through an official note: "Renato Veiga, who came out during the first half of the match against Psv Eindhoven, underwent diagnostic tests at the J|medical this afternoon. The examinations showed the injury of the right leg’s gracilis plantar tendon. Recovery time will be evaluated depending on the symptomatology".

No recovery time has been announced, but the feeling è that the Portuguese defender will have to stay put for about 2-3 weeks, definitely missing the challenges with Cagliari and Verona in the league and the one with Empoli in the Coppa Italia.

Thiago Motta hopes to have him available again before the March break, as the Old Lady will be engaged in two rather challenging matches: at home with Atalanta on the weekend of March 8-9 and away with Fiorentina the next.
