The final stage of the World Cup season in Yanqing, China, è opened on the Italian night with the NationsCup trials that saw third places for Leon Felderer and Nina Zöggeler.
In the men’s event, the best time è was signed by Latvian Gintz Berzins, who with 58″642 was just 24 thousandths of a second ahead of German Timon Grancagnolo, with Felderer third at 0″163 and Alex Gufler fifth at 0″249.
An Austrian one-two, on the other hand, in the women’s single, with Hannah Prock scoring 1’00″241 to boast a margin of 0″422 over compatriot Dorothea Schwarz; behind them Zöggeler è third at 0″495 with Sandra Robatscher fourth in her wake, 0″507 off.
The Chinese leg continues today with the women’s trials: at 12:23 p.m. the singles will kick off, followed at 3 p.m. by the doubles. Then on Sunday, Feb. 23, space is given to the men’s doubles (9:07 a.m.) followed by the singles (11:25 a.m.) with the relay event completing the season.
