Anna Kalinskaya to Peak

È an increasingly black 2025 so far for Anna Kalinskaya. The Russian tennis player, in fact, is paying dearly for her latest heavy defeat to Elina Svitolina in the first round in the WTA 1000 in Dubai, in which she was defending the final she won last year where she was defeated by Italy&#39s Jasmine Paolini.

In the rankings published by the WTA after the 'Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships', Jannik Sinner&#39s fiancée not only è dropped out of the top 20, but even finds herself outside the top 30 players in the world. Kalinskaya è slipped to 34th place, losing as many as 15 positions.

The Russian will try to regain valuable ranking points as early as this week, when she will be busy at the WTA 500 in Merida, Mexico. The fourth seed in the seeding, Kalinskaya will make her debut directly in the round of 16 with the winner of the match between Australia's Maya Joint and Austria's Julia Grabher.

At the 'Merida Open Akron', Kalinskaya hopes to redeem herself after a truly complex start to the season amid physical problems and accumulated defeats (as many as five out of eight matches played).
