Fantastic Pellegrino! Silver at the World Championships behind the phenomenon Klaebo

Federico Pellegrino won the silver medal in the free technique sprint, the opening race of the World Championships in Trondheim: the Italian cross-country skier clinched his seventh rainbow medal by finishing second in the event won by absolute star Johannes Klaebo.

The skier from Nus è managed not to lose ground to the Norwegian star, distancing all other rivals in the race for the podium. In third place è came Finland’s Lauri Vuorinen.

L'Azzurro in the quarterfinals had overcome Norway’s Evensen and Sweden’s Anger, in the semifinals è managed to finish second behind Klaebo himself, and history è repeated itself in the finals.

For Klaebo, this is the fourth consecutive gold in the format at the World Championships. Italy won its 58th podium in the history of the Nordic World Ski Championships.
