It's Marc Marquez who took the first pole position of the new MotoGp season. On the Buriram circuit, the Ducati centaur signed the best time in 1:28.782 ahead of his brother Alex and teammate Pecco Bagnaia detached 146 and 173 thousandths respectively.

Excellent comeback also for Jack Miller, who closes in fourth place after starting from Q1. Surprisingly, the rookie Ai Ogura completes the top 5, while Franco Morbidelli on the VR46 Ducati closes the second row, who però scatterà from the ninth box due to the penalty of three places on the grid for impeding against Pecco Bagnaia during pre-qualifying.

He has to settle for the third row Pedro Acosta, who does not go beyond the seventh box. Behind the Spaniard, stand the two Aprilias of Raul Fernandez and Marco Bezzecchi. Fabio Quartararo closes the top 10.

As for the other Italian riders, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Luca Marini finished 13th and 16th, respectively. The difficulties continue, finally, for Enea Bastianini, who does not go beyond 20th position.
