Yesterday’s world champion trusts today’s world champion.

Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari can aspire to do very well, and perhaps even aim for the'eighth world title that would make him the most successful driver in Formula 1 history. Mika Hakkinen is convinced of this, and he has made it clear that in his opinion the 40 years of the new Cavallino driver is not an obstacle to still doing very well on the track.

"I am convinced that Hamilton will have a positive impact in Ferrari, just as it already happened when he arrived at McLaren and Mercedes,” Hakkinen recalled in an interview for the 'Corriere dello Sport' -. The difference è that this time he will be driving for a team cheered on all over the Planet, and precisely because of that his motivation will be even greater".

Hakkinen therefore believes that Hamilton's ageà is not a limitation for achieving great results in Ferrari. "Throughout his career he has always found ways to evolve. His experience è a lot, but I don&#39t think 40 years is too old,&#39 added the Finn. Maybe in my time it was, but now machine technology and training methods have made giant strides". Without forgetting that, already in 1992, Hakkinen assisted from the track and from behind the wheel of his Lotus the victory of the world championship by Nigel Mansell, who was at the time just 40 years old.

There will be toò toò reckon with McLaren, and from this point of view Hakkinen spoke clearly: "It reminds me of the one from my time, when we managed to grow step by step, and that is why it will not beà easy for anyone to beat them. Zak Brown and Andrea Stella understood the importance of everyone's enthusiasm to do well. And now everyone feels part of the excellent results they are getting".
