Football è now definitely far from the thoughts.

Marcello Lippi no longer thinks about soccer, or at least not as a coach. The coach of so many victories at Juventus and the coach of 2006 World Champion Italy è has been inactive for several years now, and has made it clear that he no longer has any desire to question himself on the bench of a club or national team.

"I have been quitting for five years now, and I honestly do not miss the bench,” Lippi confessed in an interview with 'Repubblica'. Then the coaches of today seem to me more prepared than my generation. Also the balance on the field è much greater, the mattress teams no longer exist ".

Lippi then added a few more details about how he continues to experience soccer as a mere spectator: "I follow it, and I turn off the television only when one of the two teams cannot be reached by the other. And for the Scudetto, I wouldn&#39t be surprised if Juventus is also back in the game".

Impossible not to dwell forò on his past on the bench: "If you ask me the greatest I have coached, I cannot say Del Piero not thinking of Zidane and I cannot say Zidane not thinking of Del Piero. Then I really miss Vialli because of his generosity and intelligence. And there'è Roberto Baggio, one of the greatest in history, they embroidered so much about us not catching. A nonsense. The 2006 World Cup? I hope young people will take a trip to the Internet to watch our matches. Making so many people happy è the greatest satisfaction of my career".
