Atalanta, Gian Piero Gasperini grappling with a new headache

Stefan Posch stops, another Atalanta injury
Despite being in third place in the league, three points off the top after twenty-seven days, it certainly cannot be said that Atalanta's season is positive from an injury standpoint. To the long list of players Gian Piero Gasperini has not had at his disposal at various times this year, the name of Stefan Posch, forced to stop in training, has been added.
As reported by the club, the defensive joker who arrived at the beginning of February from Bologna has suffered an injury of the muscle-tendon junction of the left hamstring, a rather serious injury that will force him to stop for at least three weeks: no Juventus, Inter and Fiorentina, then, three potentially decisive competitions to continue to cultivate dreams of glory.
Posch, since his arrival, è taken the field seven times in the Atalanta jersey, curiously making his debut precisely against Bologna, in the league match last Feb. 4 that ended 1-0 for the Felsinei, thanks to Santiago Castro's goal at 80'. That è was also the only occasion, speaking exclusively of the league, in which Posch played less than 70'.
The Austrian also took the field in the ill-fated Champions League playoff against Club Bruges, which saw the Belgians win 2-1 in the first leg at home and 3-1 in Bergamo. Posch played 71' in the first leg match and 14' in the return match, the only other short appearance besides the one against his former team in the league.
