Ajax-Eintracht Frankfurt, the likely lineups

After narrowly beating Union SG in the play-offs, Ajax will receive Eintracht Frankfurt at the Johan Crujiff Arena for the first act of the Europa League round of 16. The Lancers arrive at the match in great confidence bolstered by their two consecutive league successes. The same does not hold true, however, for the German side, which è returned from two heavy losses against Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.

Farioli should give confidence to the offensive trident formed by Brobbey, Berghuis and Godts. In defense, protecting Pasveer, there will be Sutalo and l'ex-Juventus Rugani, with Hato and Gaaei acting in the role of full-backs.

Toppmoller, however, is expected to confirm from 1'Ekitike as center forward. Behind the former PSG man, space for Gotze and Knauff. In the median, Skhiri and Larsson will make up the central dike, with Brown and Kristensen as full-band outsiders.
