The words of Carlos Alcaraz

Speaking at the media day on the eve of the debut in the Indian Wells Masters 1000, Carlos Alcaraz, among other topics discussed, è returned to the absence of Jannik Sinner, who will not be able to take part in the tournament due to his three-month disqualification for the Clostebol case.

"Whether Sinner is there or not for me does not change anything. Jannik won’t be playing this tournament obviously, but there will still be a lot of the best players in the world here in Indian Wells. I think the schedule is really open and many tennis players are expressing fantastic tennis. I am focused exclusively on my own things and on myself, I just want to play good tennis" began the Murcian tennis player.

"I’m working a lot on my serve in training. I am improving and I feel great. I have to keep believing in this new movement, becauseé I know that my serve will become fantastic. My second è really solid, but my first could be better. I make progress day by day, but sometimes during matches I don’t get the feeling I would like. When your serve doesn’t work, you can still play well from the back court and not think too much about it. Now I feel good and I am happy with the work I am doing with this shot" added the world number three.

"I know that winning three times in a row here è a feat achieved only by two players, but I will try not to think about it and enjoy the tournament as much as possible. Every time I go back to Indian Wells, I really enjoy everything I do: all year I wait to go back, being here è a dream I had when I was a kid" commented Carlos Alcaraz.
