Dominik Paris, no encore in Norway: the Swiss monopolize the podium

Dominik Paris fails to repeat Friday’s outstanding performance on the Olympiabakken slope in Kvitfjell, Norway: in fact, the winner of Friday’s downhill must settle for sixth place in the repeat twenty-four hours later, with Swiss athletes taking the stage. Franjo von Allmen è in fact won the race, ahead of compatriots Marco Odermatt and Stefan Rogentin.
Von Allmen finished his event in 1'45"46, proving to be 28 hundredths faster than the overall leader, while the third-place finisher finished with a time 38 hundredths slower than the winner. Rounding out the top 5 were Slovenia’s Miha Hrobat, at 0"43, and Norway’s Adrian Smiseth Sejersted, at 0"51.
Paris had a good race overall, paying for some smudges in the second and fifth of the six timed sectors. At the end, the gap from Von Allmen è of 59 hundredths of a second: the time is not è enough for the podium, but today’s test is still of a very good level for the Italian veteran.
In the overall standings, Paris remains the first of the Italians with 424 points, which brings him to 11th place: in the lead is still Odermatt, with 1466 points, a good 520 more than the current second, Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen. Also in the downhill ranking Paris è the first of the Azzurri: è in fact sixth with 262 points, 343 less than the "cannibal" Odermatt.
