Federica Brignone triumphed in Sweden in the giant slalom on the Stortloppsbacken slope. At the end of the race the champion revealed the secret of her golden moment: "Right now I am very present and totally lucid when I ski. I leave emotions out of my head even though I feel them inside me, I know exactly where I am, what I am doing, and if I lose control I don’t like it".
"There's a lot of awareness and instinct, right now I have the right instinct that tells me where and how to push, but then I try to be tactical in the passes that require attention and hold the right lines. I can bring to the race everything I try in training, maybe è this is my secret in season. However Alice Robinson doesn’t give up anything in the giant, it’s going to be an exciting challenge that will rightly end at the Sun Valley finals".
"I keep not looking at the overall standings, now we go to La Thuile where it will be tough emotionally. There; I really feel at home, there are my friends who are the starting judges, they put the nets and the blue on the track, it will be stressful days but exciting in the same way. On the other hand I love that track, the main goal will be to keep calm".
