Matteo Gigante, world number 217, è was beaten in the second round of the Indian Wells Masters 1000 by the U.S.’s Taylor Fritz, number 4 in the rankings, with a score of 6-3 7-5.

At 2-1 in his favor Fritz misses a break point, he saves one in the next game and from 2-2 stretches to 5-2 and then closes the partial at the second set point.

In the second set no break ball until 2-2, here Fritz makes another break, saves two consecutive break points in the next game, then in the eighth cancels another one and when he serves for the match on 5-4 he loses serve.
