Tadej Pogacar wins 19th edition of Strade Bianche

After 2022 and 2024, Tadej Pogacar also makes the 2025 edition of the Strade Bianche Crédit Agricole his own. The world champion, in fact, preceded, on the iconic Piazza del Campo finish line, Britain&#39s Thomas Pidcock (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) and Belgium&#39s Tim Wellens (UAE Team Emirates-XRG).

Unlike the dominant victory he achieved in 2024, the Slovenian cyclist è made an extraordinary comeback. About fifty kilometers from the finish, the class of 1998 è ran into a slip with, fortunately, limited consequences. At that point, the UAE Team Emirates athlete made up ground on the leading group and then went solo in the last 20 kilometers of the race.

A few seconds after crossing the finish line, winner Tadej Pogacar said: "It's a great success and it's good to know that I will be named after a section of dirt road. I&#39m happy even though it would have been better to avoid falling. I know that stretch of road well but I miscalculated the speed. I recovered and did not feel the pain too much, at least until the finish. When I changed bikes I was a little worried about è in the end è everything went well. The race è was very fast, there was a tricky breakaway and it forced us to go hard from the start".
