Bayern deserves Inter, super Gigio Donnarumma shuts up Liverpool

No surprises for Inter, big emotions at Anfield.
Bayern Munich and Inter Milan will play each other in one of the quarterfinals of the Champions League, following the Bavarians’ victory in the German derby on the field of Bayer Leverkusen. Unsurprising result, given the result of the first leg, a different matter for what happened at Anfield: PSG eliminated Liverpool on penalties, with Gigio Donnarumma on the shields.
There were few shocks at the BayArena, where Bayer Leverkusen was called to the difficult task of recovering the 0-3 lost in the first leg in Munich. Nothing to do forò for the hosts, forced moreover to give up after 38 minutes to Mario Hermoso: right shoulder injury for the former Roma man. Then Kane at 52' in a scrum and Davies at 71' on a sumptuous assist by the former Tottenham signed Bayern’s success.
In Liverpool, on the other hand, the Reds took the field on the strength of a rather fortunate victory in Paris over a wild but inconclusive PSG. It took just 11 minutes for Dembelé to equalize the result of the first leg, in a game with roles reversed from what was seen in France: the hosts built several, clear-cut scoring chances (although they risked, particularly on a Kvaratskhelia free kick), but the goal did not come. And, when Szoboszlai finds it, è all in vain due to Luis Diaz’s offside.
Overtime also did not change the result, although it was PSG that built the best chances to win it. Penalty kicks are then taken care of by Donnarumma, who intercepts Darwin Nunez’s conversion and even grabs Jones’s. Everyone else scores, and Doue gives the Parisians the quarterfinal against Bruges or (much moreù probably) Aston Villa.
