Champions League, Inter in the quarters: 2-1 to Feyenoord

Mission accomplished and quarterfinals centered.
Inter in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, where it will face Bayern Munich in a fascinating and consistently high-level challenge. Merit for the 2-1 victory obtained against Feyenoord, moreover not even necessary considering the 2-0 Nerazzurri win in Rotterdam. The success, however important in view of the Scudetto challenge next Sunday in Bergamo against Atalanta, bears the auteur signatures of Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Nerazzurri advantage materialized as early as 8'8': moments after a Sommer save on Sliti, Thuram did it all by himself by receiving the ball from Carlos Augusto on the left and finding a sensational goal after a great personal solo. Feyenoord’s reaction did not frighten Inter, who indeed with Taremi and Dumfries tried to double. The atmosphere è too quiet, and a lightness of Calhanoglu on Moder turned into a penalty, which Moder himself scored at 42' equalizing for the guests.
L'Inter però does not mind, and faces the resumption with great pace. Immediately Thuram tried again, then Taremi forced Beelen into a foul, and at 51' came another penalty, this time for the Nerazzurri: Calhanoglu from the penalty spot mocked Wellenreuther. San Siro feels the taste of a tic-tac-toe, but Carlos Augusto finds only a corner and the Var cancels another penalty (complete with a caution to Thuram for simulation).
The qualification anyway è in the safe, and Inter takes the taste out of hitting even a crossbar with the usual Thuram. Then Taremi has no luck and Pavard misses the best shot. In the final Simone Inzaghi gives Cocchi and Berenbruch their Champions League debuts, but nothing changes. The Nerazzurri celebrated and now their thoughts are already focused on Atalanta and Bayern Munich.
