Alessandro Nesta believes in salvation

The victory against Parma è faded in the final, but Monza tries to take the best out of the match against the Ducali ahead of the last nine days of the championship, with the “biancorossi” who, in order to save themselves, are forced to recover precisely nine points. Despite the difficulties, Alessandro Nesta is not è willing to raise the white flag.

"Mathematics does not condemn us, we have a duty to stick together – said the Brianza club coach. Today we wasted an opportunity and it was a pity, the boys had understood the importance of the race. I think today&#39s was one of our best games, we è lacked a little bit of the spark, the decisive play".

Nesta’s big regret è the goal conceded by Bonny in the final, a goal he felt was avoidable: "We could have handled the restart better,” he said, “we could have sent them towards the outside. Too bad. Salvation? We have nine finals in front of us, we must aim to win without making calculations: we know that è hard but we also know that we will be on the piece".

Very few satisfactions have been collected by Monza in this third season of the brianzoli in Serie A: out of twenty-nine matches only two successes have come, against Hellas Verona (3-0 away) on October 21 and against Fiorentina (2-1 at home) on January 13. The Biancorossi have drawn nine times, including Saturday’s game, losing the remaining eighteen matches.
