McLaren, Lando Norris unveils key to pole position

These are the words given, in a press conference, by McLaren driver Lando Norris after taking pole position in the Australian GP ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen.

"I feel very good, I think it is the ideal way to start the season. First I want to congratulate the team, everyone is doing a resounding job, we try to take back what we did in the finale of last championship. The car è extremely fast, but it è not easy to put it all together. We saw a good battle between me and Oscar" began the British driver.

"In the last corners I struggled a lot, I even almost went off the track. For some reason this weekend I was very strong in turn 11. Actually&eagrave; è a pretty easy corner, but since FP1 I was able to gain about a tenth of a lead over everyone in that section. I don’t know whyé, I feel comfortable there; and è that I probably took pole" added McLaren’s number 4.

"This is just qualifying, let’s wait to see what will happen in the race since I expect a very tricky GP. I don’t want to think too much about tomorrow. If it rains it will change everything. We know how Max Verstappen is fearsome in those conditions, so we’ll see" Lando Norris commented.
