During an interview given to the microphones of the portal "Eleven Sports", Wojciech Szczesny, among other topics, wanted to make a comparison between his current experience with the Barcelona jersey and his past one with the Juventus jersey.
"At Juventus, the main goal is to achieve results, while Barcelona lives soccer with joy, a feeling that is easily spread. It's natural that soì many fans around the world are attracted to this way of playing and this club" began the Polish goalkeeper.
"What makes me happiest here at the Barça è the excitement associated with beautiful soccer, which è a completely different feeling from what I am used to" added Wojciech Szczesny.
After an initial adjustment period, the former Juventus and Roma goalkeeper convinced coach Hansi Flick to deploy him as a starter in place of Inaki Peña. The Polish goalkeeper’s recent excellent performances, in addition, have reportedly prompted Barcelona to initiate contacts with the player’s entourage to find an agreement to renew his contract, which expires at the end of the season.
