Anna Kalinskaya plans her next adventure: after the positive signs that came in Miami, the Russian tennis player is preparing to return to the court at the Charleston Open, the first clay court tournament of the season, scheduled from the end of March to the first week of April.

The Moscow tennis player exited in the round of 16 at the Miami tournament at the end of a hard-fought match against world No. 4, regaining the tennis she had lost in the early months of the year. A period to forget that dropped her to 33rd in the world rankings.

Now Kalinskaya goes hunting for confirmation in Charleston, which will open the season on clay, with hopes of moving up in the WTA rankings ahead of Roland Garros. She last participated in the Charleston tournament in 2023: on that occasion Anna had managed to reach the quarterfinals, where she withdrew in her match against Ons Jabeur.
