Daniil Medvedev, new outburst after Jannik Sinner case

Daniil Medvedev in an interview with The National News returned to the Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek cases, which have been the big topic of discussion in tennis in recent months. Both top tennis players got off with short disqualifications, but what happened has alarmed all their colleagues, starting with the Russian himself.
“When you get sick, in normal life you take a paracetamol and nothing happens. In tennis, if you get sick and the next day you have a match, you try to take vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin B, acetaminophen, whatever helps you. You take like 10 supplements just because you are sick. Without the supplements, I would die on the track. The current scenario made me worry about possible contamination”, Daniil confessed.
“Whatever you take, basically you don’t know if it could be contaminated. We all take protein, just like we take creatine, BCAAs or omega-3s, it is a basic thing that many people take on a regular basis and it helps health. You never know what can happen if some laboratory, makes a mistake”.
“For a normal person it would not matter, but for someone else it can ruin life and is something that causes stress”, stressed Medvedev.
