Cantù, Nicola Brienza calls out to the public

Reduced by the setback in Brindisi last Sunday, Cantù Basketball prepares for the next challenge of the A2 Series championship, returning home to face Scaligera Basket Verona on Sunday 30. The Brianzoli are banking heavily on the support of the PalaDesio crowd, having won their last five at home against Cividale, Piacenza, Libertas Livorno and Rimini.
White-blue coach Nicola Brienza is also aware of the importance of the match and the possibility of taking advantage of the home court factor: “It will be a very important match, as will all the next ones from now until the end of the second half – he said -. The results of the matches and the very short standings are a mirror of the balance of this championship, in which we want to reach the best possible placement”.
“This home challenge against Verona, which is a strong and good opponent, is a fundamental and decisive game – added the Cantù coach -, which will have to be faced already with a play-off spirit. We will therefore already have to be mentally ready for a sports battle and to play with great intensity and physicality, because Verona is objectively one of the most competitive teams from this point of view”.
“We will finally return home, after the Cup interlude, and we want to pick up exactly where we left off with our fans
and thus follow up the victory against Rimini obtained in front of them” then concluded the 45-year-old coach, born right in Cantù, the city to which he gave the LNP 2025 Italian Cup, beating Cividale at PalaDozza in the final act, which ended 74-57 for the white-blue.
