Reyer Venezia awaits Tortona with a thought for the past

The one that will pit Reyer Venezia and Tortona against each other, on Sunday night with the ball at 8 p.m., will be a challenge loaded with significance not only for the goals pursued by both clubs but also because the match will mark the return as an opponent of Walter De Raffaele, at Reyer between 2011 and 2023, first as deputy and then as head coach.
The current coach of the orogranata, Neven Spahija, had picked up the baton from the very coach who won two Scudetti and one Coppa Italia, when the latter was relieved in February 2023: “We know it will be a special match because De Raffaele, the most important coach in Reyer–s history, returns for the first time, said Spahija himself during the presentation of the match”.
“Definitely it will be a great excitement for him and for all the fans. We also know that he will come here to Venice to win the game, we will welcome him with great pleasure, but we will also do everything to win” added the Croatian coach, who against Tortona is looking for crucial points against a direct competitor for the playoff race.
The Reyer team is looking for a win.
Reyer, after a complicated start, has strung together a string of consecutive Serie A wins (five since Feb. 9) that have largely lifted morale in the locker room. On the other side, however, Tortona is also experiencing a happy moment, being fresh off eight straight successes, four of them in the league and as many in the Champions League.
