It&#8217s less and less until Jannik Sinner returns to the court: the South Tyrolean will see him back at the Internazionali d’Italia. There&#8217s a lot of curiosity about Sinner&#8217s condition, but according to Andy Roddick, the world No. 1 downplayed it: “I don&#8217t think all the hype around his return will destabilize him. Already since last year&#8217s US Open he has had to manage the attention on himself, and in that time he has won two majors”.

“I think he continues to enjoy the respect of other players on the circuit, although I don&#8217t share the confusion around anti-doping protocols. Perhaps some people prefer to comment without properly informing themselves, but Jannik is very balanced and I don”t think he will approach the situation with a polemical attitude.

According to Roddick, world No. 1 in the ATP rankings from Nov. 3, 2003, to Feb. 1, 2004, there will be some difficulty, however: “You can&#8220t sit still for three months and expect to come back without any difficulty.

The point is that he will be back competing on a surface that is perhaps not his favorite. Her preparation for Roland Garros could be affected”.

The return to Italy could make it easier, however: “With the support and popularity he enjoys in Italy, I don&#8217t think there could be a better stage for his comeback. He shined in Turin, where he won the ATP Finals, but the Roman public has yet to see him since he became world number one”.
