MotoGp, Ducati: Gigi Dall'Igna doesn’t mince words on Pecco Bagnaia

One of the main themes of this early MotoGp season has been the distance, at least in the first two race weekends, between the two centaurs of the official Ducati team, Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia. The gap between the two, however, seemed much less wide in the Sprint in Texas, despite the’umpteenth success of the number 93, so much so that Gigi Dall’Igna was keen to congratulate the Piedmontese rider.
“It’was really incredible – said the general manager of Ducati Corse at the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ -, the first laps he did them as the champion that he is, tomorrow I hope he will be even more in the fight for victory. I saw Pecco fighting with great concentration, I am sure that he will soon return the Bagnaia that we all know and appreciate”.
Bagnaia finished in third place in the Sprint Race on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, making a name for himself at the start with a spectacular overtaking move to overtake the two Marquez brothers, before giving way to both after a smear from which he still managed to recover in spectacular fashion.
The three-time world champion, one in Moto2 and two in MotoGp, has so far finished all three Sprint races in third place, always behind Marc and Alex Marquez. In the long races, however, he finished third in Thailand, again behind the two Catalan brothers, and fourth in Argentina, when in addition to the que Marquez he also saw Franco Morbidelli finish ahead of him.
