Richard Gasquet knows what Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are missing.
During an episode of the’UTS, Richard Gasquet, in the company of Adrian Mannarino and David Goffin, returned to talk about Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz and about comparisons between their rivalry and that of the Big 3 Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
“Alcaraz has something, but his aura is not yet at the level of players like Federer. That comes with age and honors, but it takes time to build him up. Roger and Rafa are two of the biggest stars in world sports. In the last 20 years, among the greatest in the sport, they are cited along with the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Usain Bolt and LeBron James” began the French tennis player.
“The Big 3 had something beyond tennis. I am convinced that one day Alcaraz and Sinner will be able to reach that dimension, but it will take time. Tennis is not enough, there’s also what you do as well as what you are, what you convey, your technique. Federer was complete in every aspect” added Richard Gasquet.
