Mattia Bellucci surrenders to Tallon Griekspoor in Marrakech.

Mattia Bellucci’s path to the quarterfinals at the Marrakech ATP 250 stopped at the quarterfinals. The Lombard tennis player, in fact, surrendered in two sets to Tallon Griekspoor, the number one seed in the seeding, who won with a final score of 6-3 6-4 after one hour and twenty-five minutes of play.
Uphill start for the Italian who with a bloody double fault gave up the serve as early as in the fourth game (1-3). Griekspoor kept the break lead until the final 6-3 with which he closed the first partial.
The balance was also short-lived in the second set: at 2-2 Bellucci lost serve again with a forehand error and cost him the partial and the match, closed on serve by the Dutchman on the first match point.
Hopes for Italy at the ‘Grand Prix Hassan II’ hang on Luciano Darderi, who will take on Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena in the semifinals.
