A four-time world champion alongside those who aspire to join him on Formula One’s roll of honor. Sebastian Vettel is lining up in support of Lando Norris, who despite an absolutely dominant McLaren this early in the season and the lead in the world standings has recently ended up at the center of several criticisms from fans and even insiders for the stern words he aimed at himself after the Bahrain Grand Prix.

“Being self-critical is not a sign of weakness – stressed Vettel in an ’interview with ‘Reuters’ -In fact, heroism in the narrative behind Formula 1 drivers is also fine. But talking about one&#8217s problems and weaknesses, as Norris did, is another face of ’heroism”.

“The signal is very good, I consider it a huge step forward– continued Vettel.”

Norris&#8217s is a real role model, which some might even attack but which represents progress. The overall picture is absolutely positive”.

“Pilots are people, like everyone else. And, like everyone else, we have normal problems” concluded Vettel, who for several years has been outspoken in support of noble causes of the most varied nature. And, in Norris’ case, he decided to tackle head-on the always sensitive issue of psychological health.
