Max Verstappen has become a dad: on social media the four-time world champion driver announced, jointly with partner Kelly Piquet, the birth of their baby girl Lily. “Welcome to the world, sweet Lily. Our hearts are fuller than ever-you are our greatest gift. We love you so much”, is the’announcement on Instagram.

Verstappen after the birth of the little one immediately flew to Miami for the Formula 1 weekend: the four-time world champion received permission to skip Thursday interviews.

“Fortunately I was able to spend a few hours with them when she was born (on May 1 ed). It was great. You never really know, I guess, what to expect. But it was very pleasant and it is definitely very special” said Verstappen upon’arrival in Florida.

Verstappen already has experience as a dad: Kelly already has another daughter, Penelope, who he had with Daniil Kvyat.
