Jannik Sinner, the stop discussed: Simone Vagnozzi intervenes

Jannik Sinner’s debut at the Internazionali di Roma is less and less away: the No. 1 ranked Atp will return to play an official match three months after the last time. Some believe the stop has benefited the champion but Simone Vagnozzi disagrees.
“I have heard that it is an advantage to have had this stop, but if so why has no one ever stopped so long? Then like all things we try to take the best aspects, but we know we are coming here without games. In the last 5 months we have played just two tournaments, it is not an advantage this” said Jannik’s coach.
“We have tried to manage these three months in the best way possible. The’goal in Rome is to play as many competitions as possible to get back into a rhythm and arrive well in Paris. In the last two years we have also worked a little bit’to make him discover that there’s a life beyond tennis”.
According to Vagnozzi, Jannik Sinner has matured a lot in the last few years: “He has definitely become a little bit’more flexible and open. I think he has handled this very well. Now it is all over and we can focus only on tennis”.
