Lautaro Martinez, chilling backstory: "I cried two days"

One of the protagonists of Inter’s feat with Barcelona in the Champions League is definitely Lautaro Martinez, who unlocked the match (ninth goal in the competition) and earned the 2-0 penalty. The captain of the nerazzurri, who was injured in the first leg match at Montjuic, recovered in record time to be present in the return semifinal at San Siro.
“In the first leg match we had suffered a lot, but we did an incredible teamwork – Lautaro told official Inter channels – Personally, at the end of the match I was in trouble because I felt my leg was sore and I spent the first two days crying at home because I was afraid of not playing the return”.
“I did double work sessions this week and with a tight bandage I took the field this evening, in these competitions you always have to be there– explained the Argentine bomber -. I promised my family today that I would take the field, even my mom called me all morning because she is in a lot of pain, I am not well but now we will do separate work to recover”.
“Inter has been raising the level for three to four years and we should be proud. This stadium is incredible and this team never gives up. From the first day this competition started we want to win it, now we have to recover a lot of energy and enjoy this final because we have a great opportunity to make history for this club” concluded Lautaro.
