L'Women’s Italvolley doesn’t concede encore with Germany

After the 3-1 success accrued at the PalaIgor in Novara, the’Italvolley failed to repeat with Germany in the second test match in preparation for the Nations League. At the Allianz Cloud in Milan, in fact, the Germans completely overturned the result of the first friendly by imposing 3-1.

In the first set, it&#8217s Italy got off to a better start, flying away 6-2. In the middle phase, however, Germany manages first to close the gap, then to place the counter-break going up 21-16. At that point, it was just a formality for Alsmeier and her teammates to close the score at 25-21.

In the second set, the most complete balance reigns, with both teams staying point-to-point throughout the entire set. On 24-24, however, it was still Coach Bregoli’s girls who were more incisive, closing the account on 26-24.

In the third set, it&#8217s Italvolley that placed the first stretch on’11-8, but Germany didn&#8217t give up and managed to pull back to a tie on 16-16. At that point, comes the decisive break for the Azzurri with Squarcini and Frosini placing three points in a row, which they manage to hold until the final 25-22.

The fourth partial was resolved on 16-16: Jatzko’s winner, two Giovannini errors, Strubbe’s fast and Frosini’s out for 17-21, Germany administers and wins the match on 25-21.
