The start of the day had not begun under the best auspices, with a slip between the curves of the Le Mans circuit, but Franco Morbidelli was able to find the bandole of the skein managing to close in ninth place in Friday’s practice, a useful result to take him directly to Saturday’s Q2.

“Overall, today was a positive day because we advanced to Q2, but a lot of things happened – explained the 30-year-old Italian-Brazilian, at the conclusion of Friday’s day -. I crashed this morning and when in Practice I returned to the track with the bike I slipped on, something was not working”.

“We tried to fix the problems during the session, but by the time of the time attack we hadn&#8217t done normal laps, although we went strong– he added -. We had little time today, but we passed and that is very positive. I am happy with the way the guys in the team worked”.

What is certain, however, is that ‘Franky’ does not want to be satisfied and, indeed, raises his ambitions ahead of Saturday, which in addition to qualifying will see the MotoGp riders starring in the Sprint Race. “Tomorrow it will be important to do more kilometers – he said – to understand what to do on the bike to improve it. Physically I am fine”.
