MLS: Messi in goal but comes worst defeat with Inter Miami
Messi has never been very good at handling defeat. That may be part of the reason why he walked off the field dark in the face. His team, l’Inter Miami (expected at the Club World Cup), was blown away by Minnesota with a dry 4-1 win in St.Paul.
The Argentine, 37, did his’s. Messi did, in fact, set up the’only goal of the’Inter Miami. His fifth goal of the season, however, did not help prevent what is the worst defeat of the’Inter Miami with the World Champion outfielder on the field.
It should be highlighted how Inter Miami showed up without Luis Suarez (absent for personal reasons). A forfeit that was felt among the ranks of Messi’s team, which thus suffered its second stop of the season (4-3 against Dallas last April 27 the first misstep).
The Mascherano-coached team is not doing very well in this first phase of the MLS regular season. There are 21 points won by The Herons (6-3-2 the’current record, with 21 points won). A wake-up call also in view of the Club World Cup, an appointment Messi particularly cares about, considering that it will be his last major event of his enlightening career.
