Matteo Berrettini forced to retire amid tears at Internazionali d'Italia

The Internazionali d’Italia could not end worse for Matteo Berrettini. The Roman tennis player, in fact, was forced to retire in the match valid for the round of 16 against Casper Ruud due to the exacerbation of the problem in the abdomen at the beginning of the second set.
The first set started immediately uphill for Berrettini, who had to save no less than two break points in the first two games. From then on, both players do not concede any chances until the twelfth game, where Ruud places the decisive break, which also gives him the first partial set.
