Barcelona won the Catalan derby at the home of Espanyol’Espanyol and mathematically clinched La Liga Española 2024-2025. For the blaugrana it is the 28th national title.
The result was unblocked with a splendid goal by Lamine Yamal in the 53rd minute (a left-footed shot from outside the box that went into the high corner, on an assist from Dani Olmo), the doubling was by Fermin Lopez in the 96th minute.
With two rounds left to play, the team coached by German Hansi Flick has collected 85 points and can no longer be caught up with Real Madrid, second with 78.
L’Espanyol played from the 80th minute with a man down due to the expulsion of Cabrera, guilty of an elbow to the stomach to Yamal himself.
