Lindsey Vonn sends message to Sofia Goggia ahead of Olympics

Lindsey Vonn has the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games in her sights: “The real reason I came back is because the Olympics are held in Cortina. I don&#8217t think I would have come back if the Olympics were not held in Cortina”.

“It is a historically very important place for me. It is where I stood on my first podium and where I broke the record for the most World Cup wins. I thought it would be the perfect place to end my career again”.

This year the U.S. veteran is already back on the podium: “An incredible season. I had so many great experiences and Sun Valley was the perfect conclusion. It gives me a lot of confidence for next season. Of course I had my ups and downs, and I learned a lot. I know what I have to do next year.”
