Italy, Luciano Spalletti names 27: three returns and one new entry

Luciano Spalletti, coach of the Italian national team, has released the official list of the Azzurri called up for the double commitment in Oslo against Norway and in Reggio Emilia against Moldova in the first two matches of Group I of qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Returning to the squad are Francesco Acerbi, Riccardo Orsolini and Davide Zappacosta, who has not worn the Azzurri shirt for three and a half years. The news concerns the first call-up for Diego Coppola, a young defender from Hellas Verona.
Also among those called up are four players who are veterans of the scudetto with the Napoli jersey (Meret, Buongiorno, Di Lorenzo and Raspadori) and two winners of the Europe League with the Tottenham jersey, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie.
