Through an official statement, Juventus announced that Mattia Perin underwent surgery on his right hand on Monday and will have to stay in the pits for about two months.

“Mattia Perin underwent surgery on Monday afternoon for arthrodesis of the proximal interphalangeal joint of the fifth finger of the right hand – it says -, made necessary as a result of post-traumatic arthrosis in inveterate subluxation”.

“The surgery was performed by Dr. Battiston and Dr. Ferrero, in the presence of social physician Dr. Freschi, and was perfectly successful. The player will be able to return to the field in approximately eight weeks” closes the bianconeri note.

The Bianconeri’s second goalkeeper will therefore be forced to miss the Club World Cup, kicking off next June 14 in eleven different cities in the United States.
