Sensational return to the Lazio bench
These are decisive hours at Lazio: Marco Baroni could leave the biancoceleste club after failing to qualify for the European cups, a heavy disappointment for which the Capitoline club has also apologized to its fans.
According to Sportmediaset, Lazio has reportedly already made a move for a new coach and contacted Maurizio Sarri, who left the biancoceleste club in March 2024. The experienced coach had taken the reins of the team in the summer of 2021, after a sabbatical year, and had left after 137 benches.
The profile of Maurizio Sarri has also been approached by Milan in recent months but the appointment of Igli Tare as the Diavolo’s new DS has zeroed in on the chances of Sarri’s arrival. In addition to him, Patrick Vieira and Sergio Conceiçao are also candidates for the Lazio bench.
