Carlo Calcagni is in Paris, where the International Grand Prix of Athletics will be held from June 2 to 4.
“I will be competing in the 100 and 200 meters, ready to give my all as always, never giving up, once again wearing the jersey of the Paralympic Sports Group of the Ministry of Defense,” he says.
“On June 2, a symbolic and important day for all of us, on the occasion of Republic Day, I will take to the track for the 100 meters,” he adds. “My thoughts will be with all my colleagues who, like me, have suffered permanent injuries in the line of duty, and with those who have lost their lives serving the state and the community.”
“Each of my races is a silent dedication to those who can no longer fight. I will continue to do so, even for them. So that the sacrifice will not be forgotten. So that justice is not just a word. So that ‘Never give up, despite everything and everyone, whatever it takes’ is not just a motto, but a life commitment,” the champion then emphasizes.
