Nations League 2024-2025: Germany-Portugal, the likely lineups

On Wednesday, June 4 at the Allianz Arena in Munich at 9 p.m. Germany and Portugal will face each other in the Nations League semifinal. The two teams qualified for the semifinals thanks to victories against Italy and Denmark, respectively, with the Portuguese running rampant in extra time in the return leg after two hitherto extremely balanced matches.
The winner of the challenge will face the winner between Spain and France in the final, while the two who lose will face each other in a final valid for third/fourth place.
Julian Nagelsmann is expected to continue to rely on the 4-2-3-1. Ter Stegen in goal, Tah and Anton will act in front of him. Kimmich and Mittelstadt the two full-backs. In the middle of the field probable space for the midfield tagged Goretzka and Gross, with Gnabry, Sané and Wirtz favored to act behind the lone point Woltemade.
Roberto Martinez’s Portugal, on the other hand, will take the field with a classic 4-3-3. In front of goalkeeper Diogo Costa, a four-man defense composed of former AC Milan Dalot, Gonçalo Inácio, Ruben Dias and Nuno Mendes. In the middle of the field Vitinha, Joao Neves and Bruno Fernandes. The offensive trident will probably consist of Bernardo Silva, Rafael Leao and Cristiano Ronaldo.
