Novak Djokovic is, once again, in a Slam semifinal. Ithe Serb overcame Alexander Zverev in four sets, clinching the possibility of meeting Jannik Sinner for a place in the very final of Roland Garros, a tournament he has won three times (the last in 2023).

After a less-than-stellar period, the 1987 class has found his tennis again, returning to play at a very high level, as Alexander Zverev (a finalist last year at Roland Garros) has been able to see, his leaner.

“Clearly, winning against one of the best players in the world on the most important stages is something I work really hard for. I would say it is also why I continue to push myself every day, even at my age, to have matches and experiences like that. It’s a proof, a testimony to myself and also to those who watch me that I can still compete at the highest level. Yes, it is definitely a great feeling, and I want to enjoy it”, the Serbian’s words after his victory in the semifinals.

Now, on his way, the world No. 1. The two have faced each other eight times in the past (equal balance). Novak Djokovic wants to try, at all costs, to return to a Slam final. To do so, he will have to beat the one who, along with Carlos Alcaraz, is the most in-form tennis player at the moment.
