When does Aryna Sabalenka play at Roland Garros: history with Coco Gauff

The Roland Garros women’s singles final will be between Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff. The world number one qualified for the last act of the Paris Slam by beating defending champion Iga Swiatek. The world number two, on the other hand, got the better of home favorite Boisson ending her wonderful fairy tale in the semifinals.

The match between the Belarusian and U.S. tennis players is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, on the Philippe-Chatrier at 3 p.m.

There are 10 previous meetings between Sabalenka and Gauff: in perfect parity are, five wins each. The last meeting was about a month ago, where Sabalenka got the better of Gauff by beating her in the final of the Madrid Masters 1000. The previous record on clay is 1-1, again a perfect tie. The first time they faced each other on this surface was in the Rome Masters 1000, where Gauff got the better of the Belarusian.

The two tennis players have also faced each other several times in Slams, this will not in fact be the first meeting between the two tennis players. The last time they faced each other in a Slam was in the semifinals of the Australian Open where the Belarusian prevailed and also won the title. The first meeting, however, was in 2020 in Lexington. Gauff won the match in three sets.
