When Lorenzo Musetti is playing at Roland Garros: his record with Carlos Alcaraz

Thanks to a four-set victory over Frances Tiafoe, Lorenzo Musetti has reached the semifinals of Roland Garros for the first time in his career. The world number seven will face Carlos Alcaraz, world and seeded number two, who swept Tommy Paul in the quarterfinals.
The challenge between the Carrara tennis player and the Murcian is scheduled for Friday, June 6, on the Philippe-Chatrier no earlier than 2:30 pm. No earlier than 7 p.m., however, it will be the turn of Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic, who are engaged in the second semifinal.
The final is scheduled for June 6.
The one between Lorenzo Musetti and Carlos Alcaraz will be the seventh direct confrontation: the Spaniard is ahead 5-1. The Azure won the first previous one in three sets (6-4 6-7 6-4) in the final of the ATP 500 in Hamburg in 2022, then Alcaraz always prevailed.
The world number two in the world will be the winner.
The world number two beat Musetti in the round of 16 at Roland Garros 2023 (6-3 6-2 6-2), the ATP 500 Beijing 2023 (6-2 6-2), and the Miami Masters 1000 2024 (6-3 6-3). The most recent precedents are the final of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000, won by Alcaraz in three sets (3-6 6-1 6-0) and the semifinal of the Internazionali d’Italia where the Spaniard won in two sets (6-3 7-6).
